Lucas Preindl has a diverse background from several industries, such as AI robotics, machine engineering and finance. In the more recent years, he dedicated his career to the financial industry, working in a corporate finance boutique, for Credit Suisse, Julius Baer and Vontobel in Zurich and Singapore. Before co-founding the Convexis Group, he co-launched and established successful new business units for innovative money market products for his last two employers. Lucas Preindl has extensive expertise in financial modelling, structured products, as well as regulatory balance sheet and liquidity optimization. He holds a Financial Risk Management (FRM) certificate and a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). In his free time, Lucas enjoys sports such as football and surfing.

Michele Butti holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in banking and finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Upon supplementing his studies with a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certificate, he started his career at Julius Baer in Zurich and Singapore, focusing on portfolio management, business development and structured products.
From 2016, Michele Butti helped develop their Global Interest Rate Competence Centre, which contributed substantially to the bank’s success and won several Swiss Derivative Awards. Before co-founding the partner-led company Convexis Group at the end of 2020, he was responsible for creating new money market products and interest rate instruments at Vontobel. In his spare time, he can be found in the gym or swimming.
Dr. Urs Rüegsegger

Dr. Urs Rüegsegger is an experienced financial expert and independent consultant in the financial industry since 2018. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Zuger Kantonalbank since 2020.
Previously, Dr. Rüegsegger was the CEO of SIX Group AG, a leading financial infrastructure services provider, from 2008 to 2018. He also chaired the Board of The World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) from 2018 to 2021.
Before his tenure at SIX Group, he built a distinguished career at St. Galler Kantonalbank (1993–2008), where he held several leadership roles. He was a member of the Executive Board from 1997 to 2001 and later became President of the Executive Board in 2001. One of his notable achievements during this period was leading the project for the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of St. Galler Kantonalbank in April 2001.
Dr. Rüegsegger began his professional career at Swiss Re, where he worked as a software developer from 1989 to 1993.
With extensive experience in the financial sector, particularly in senior roles at prominent institutions, Dr. Rüegsegger brings deep expertise across all areas of banking. He earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Risk Management, and Insurance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
In his leisure time, Dr. Rüegsegger enjoys playing golf, cycling, and attending opera and classical music performances.

Bernardo Sequeira

Bernardo Sequeira has gained extensive experience in the financial industry, starting his career working with Machine Learning Models for Credit Risk at a Startup, followed by a role at the EMEA Equity Derivatives Trading team at BNP Paribas. He then moved to Switzerland to work at ITAU Private Bank in Zurich as a Risk Officer and later joined Zanders as a Quantitative Risk Consultant. At Zanders, he built, and validated, Credit Risk and Stress testing models for large financial institutions in and out of Switzerland. Bernardo Sequeira holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Finance from the University of Lisbon and has published an article on the topic of AI applied to Equity Derivatives Pricing in the journal 'Risks'. In his free time, Bernardo can be found playing football or tennis.

Rafael Zanoni

Rafael Zanoni has over a decade of experience in the financial industry with a wide range of investment products from traditional investments to private market investments in fixed income, as well as in equities. He started his career at UBS and then covered financial intermediaries in the ETF space at BlackRock. The last years Rafael Zanoni spent at Fintech platforms in peer-to-peer lending and alternative investments. He has developed strong knowledge in investments, markets and structuring. He studied at ZHAW in the area of business innovation for financial services. When he is not at work, he likes to be out sailing, on the golf course or on the ski slope.
Philippe Hirschi

Philippe Hirschi has gained practical experience in real estate valuation and creating sales documents through his work at a real estate finance boutique. In an internship at a leading Swiss medical technology company in their finance and data science department he gained insights in creating financial and no financial reports. In his spare time, he can be found either on the football field or on his racing bike and in the winter months on the ski slopes.

Alexander Zabransky gained his first practical experience in software development during his academic studies, where he developed different software solutions for international companies. At university, he evolved his Finance knowledge and combined it with his IT skills, creating a unique skill set. He is completing a Bachelor’s degree in International Financial Services at the University of Liechtenstein. In his spare time, he can often be found scuba diving or in the mountains either hiking or skiing.
